Illustrative passages, written for this page: a document and a recording in Hindi, each with where to find it.
From file to answer, without a pipeline to run.
The integration is one call. What follows is the part you would otherwise maintain for the life of your product.
Register the file
Tell us where it is. We fetch it from your storage or from a bucket here.
It becomes readable
Speech, on-screen text and documents turn into text, each passage tied to its timecode or page.
It stays in step
Replace the file and the index follows the new version.
Search and answer
Ask in any language and get passages and a written answer that cite where they came from.
It reads what you host, and says what it cannot.
Spoken words, text shown on screen and the text of your documents all become searchable. A scanned page with no text behind it cannot be read, and images on their own are not indexed.
- Results carry the timecode, page, row or heading they came from.
- Transcripts can be corrected, and the correction is what gets searched.
- Text shown on screen can be switched off per library for screen recordings full of interface noise.
| File | What is read | A result points to |
|---|---|---|
| Video and audio | Speech, and text shown on screen | A moment: 14:22 |
| Documents | PDF, Word, Excel, CSV, text, Markdown, HTML and course packages | A page, row or heading |
Search across the languages your content uses.
Search works by meaning, so people can ask in one supported language and find a relevant passage in another. Results stay connected to the original recording or document.

- Speech in 23 languages
- Find spoken content by its meaning and review the exact timestamp. Speech that moves between an Indian language and English is followed as it goes.
- Text on screen in 19 languages
- English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Urdu, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Arabic. Tell us the recording’s language when you register it.
- Documents, as written
- Text in any language is extracted as it is written, in its own script, with the page it came from.
It tells you when it does not know.
Most retrieval products write a fluent paragraph for any question. plycdn answers only from what it found, and holds back when the evidence is weak.
- Weak matches are withheld, and you are told how many.
- When nothing is good enough there is no answer at all: an empty result you can act on in code.
- Citations separate the sources an answer used from those merely offered as further reading.
“Refunds are generally processed according to company policy…”
Plausible and confident, with nothing behind it.
2 passages matched loosely and were withheld.
Visibly thin, never padded.
Shape it to your library.
Everything a team needs to turn a pile of files into a product people trust.
- Tags, collections and filters
- Label files, group them and narrow any search by any of it.
- Suggestions and related content
- Completions as people type, and related material beside what they are viewing.
- Tuning
- Synonyms, boosts and pinned results, so your own terms find the right thing.
- Reader permissions
- Restrict a file to named people or groups. Answers are built on the same search, so nothing a reader may not see can be cited.
- Revisions
- Replace a file and the index follows the new revision, not the old one.
- Search analytics
- See what people searched for and what they could not find.
Written answers with citations are included in Growth and Enterprise. Plans differ in the extras they include; pricing shows each plan .
What search costs
Every search counts as one search, from ₹0.35 per search; a written answer is one search plus one answer. Indexing is charged once, when a file succeeds, and a file that fails is never charged.
See it on your own library.
We set up an organization around what you have, and you measure the results yourself.
